Savoy Cabbage Parcels
1 Savoy cabbage
400g of minced pork or uncooked prawns
2 cloves garlic, crushed
1 stem fresh ginger, roughly chopped
2 red chillies, roughly chopped
1/2 teaspoon of crushed or ground cumin
teaspoon of olive oil
6 spring onions
small bunch of fresh coriander
salt & pepper
In a food processor, place the meat, garlic, ginger, chillies, cumin, half of the spring onions & half of the coriander. Pulse gently until combined but don’t overdo it.
Blanch the cabbage leaves in a pan of boiling water for a few minutes until soft. Remove and dry on kitchen roll. Place tablespoons of the mixture in the centre of each leaf and roll up to form little parcels.
Steam in a bamboo steamer (or colander) for 10 mins, until cooked through.
Serve with chopped coriander & spring onion sprinkled over and dip in sweet chilli sauce or soy sauce. These are addictive!
