The majority of the growers we work with farm using traditional methods and therefore DO NOT use pesticides and other harmful sprays. Should an area of their crop come under threat they may take a view to spray, but ONLY the affected area. You would expect to find a larger commerical grower to spray an entire field.
Because most of our producers operate on smaller scale production they have chosen not to pursue any Organic accreditation however we refer to most of our produce as being 'Organically Grown'. You can be confident that the food you are eating has had minimal, if any, contact with sprays or pesticides. You may also see that some of our growers choose to use natural forms of pest control, and this is true for our Tomatoes and Peppers. As we enter new seasons and our producers change, so to does the method of production. We will always indicate to you whether a product is Organic or not.
We are always in contact with our farmers and visit them on a regular basis, so can therefore ensure that ALL the food we sell is grown to the highest possible standard.
We always want to hear from you with comments and suggestions regarding the produce you receive. Should you wish to get in touch with us you can do so by telephone, or alternatively send us an email.
